lotus paperie and 'the vest'

so, first bit of news, i've just submitted for lotus paperie design team. they had this gorgeous sketch that we were to create a layout of. i liked how mine came out (toot toot) yes, that was my own horn. i really love their collections and their site. keep your fingers crossed for me!!

second. we had a slight episode at work this morning. and by 'episode'... i basically mean flippin disaster! everett is pretty much the best plumber we have working for us (haha, yes, i work for a plumber). he's older, i'd say early fifties, but he's a black belt in karate and he runs, jumps, skips, walks, bikes... the man basically has (from what i've seen) the body of a greek god. he's tall, thin, and muscular... a vegetarian, etc. nuff said, women generally flock to him, i'm sure of it. rumor has it, women plug up their toilet just to have another look and his lil ol eyecandy self. normally, he's a jeans and cutoff sleeve t-shirt sort... but today, well, today we got the full on. today we got the icing on the cake. today, we got everett from his prime. yes folks, 70's everett has arrived in none other than a sassy pants JEAN VEST!!!

i learned of this extraordinary fashion statement from kendra who sits in another office and had seen his lean mean stunning vest machine come in the office straight out the plumbin' van. and thus a picture began to form in my mind... stonewashed, fringe, biker patch, hole, grunge, and wash-n-wear love. however, it was just not so, the whole ensemble included some mostly new tennishoes, old grubby lee dungarees, and this stunning NEW vest. i made quick work of getting another cup of coffee so as to have my glance at the vest and be off before some sort of obscene laughing fit occured. kendra had been warned prior to me coming in for said cup of coffee that she would not be allowed to even so much as glance my direction or self pant-pissing would surely occur. bit my lip through entire ordeal, and managed to stifle off all but an inaudible snicker.
