memorial day

so kids, i'll remember this memorial day fo shizzle. jamie, dustin, hubs, and i all went to ocean shores, wa for a little peachy beachy time. friday night we met friends at 'galloway bay' where we feasted on tasty irish fare and drank guinness beer. later, we enjoyed some tasty adult beverages back at the campfire. nothing like the smoky smell of campfire in your hair and clothes for three days. i actually kind of like the musky smell...

saturday, we went on a trip to the beach. i've never had such indepth conversations about rototillers and clouds before. also, everything was very green and i was perfectly content to bask in the rays all day. i took some pictures that i would like to share:








before coming home today we rented one of those silly bikes... the ones that four people can sit in and they have the little canopy over the top and you can pedal like hell on the beach? or not, if you're fat like us. you could just bitch and moan about how hard it is to pedal and curse god for making such a contraption. then you could bring the thing back early citing irreconcilable differences and get a discount. not saying we did such a heinous thing... no...

yes, i recommend the silly looking canopy bike, if nothing else it certainly makes a great story to tell you children some day.

i made a scrap page tonight also, steph and i had a scrap session over speakerphone. i used one of the tags from her etsy shop, but you can check out all her cool digital stuff on SIStv digital boutique. here's what i came up with for my LO...a photo of jess and dad last summer, i love it!
