its beginning to look a lot like christmas...

everywhere we go...

i love this time of year. i'm such a sucker for some nice christmas music. steph sent me auld lang syne which just so happens to be a favorite of mine. which i remembered the other night when i was watching satc and carrie trekks across town to be with miranda on new years eve... ahhh, so wonderful.

so i haven't updated in a week (gasp). its because i've been super busy and i've really been trying hard to get some quality time in with mr. westcott. this weekend was a whirlwind, but wonderful. saturday, kendra came over and i made french toast and turkey bacon to get our creative juices flowing, then we scrapped for about four hours. it was WONDERFUL. i love having another person there when i scrap, to bounce ideas off and to chat with. i got two pages finished and started a third.

i also drug hubs to home depot this weekend and bought paint for the crown moulding purchased for our bedroom nearly a year ago. we went over to my mom and dad's to paint (in my dad's new heated shop!!) and helped my mom haul a mongo turkey in and out of the oven. since we can't all be together on acutal thanksgiving, we had a little shindig of our own, complete with all the fixins. not that i'm biased or anything, but our family recipe for stuffing is the best. i've had others... and while tasty in their own way, they do NOT compare to the goodness that is great grandmother avon's stuffing. no way, not even close. and, i don't want to offend, but it should be known, FRUIT DOES NOT BELONG IN STUFFING EVER! it is not right. it is not kosher. it makes me barfy! just say no people, just say no!

i got some good deals @ joanns on the big paper mache' letters... i'm going to decorate three for the word "JOY" and send them to my grandma in arizona, since they won't be here to share the holiday with us for the first time EVER in the history of my life. it is going to be super-weird. i'm sad.

here's one of the layouts i made this weekend. thanks heather for the wonderful wedding photo to scrap!!
